Construction of a Prefabricated Modular Building for a Thermal Disinfection and Decontamination Station for Pathogenicity Groups III–IV Effluents

INEX recently participated in a significant infrastructure project in the Volgograd region, attracting substantial attention from regional and federal media. The completion of a key project phase was featured in broadcasts on Channel One (Pervy Kanal) and Volgograd State Television.

Central to this project is a unique, innovative thermal effluent decontamination system (EDS) implemented by INEX. This system is designed to neutralize pathogenic viruses and other biological agents in wastewater. The technological solution ensures high-level biosafety through precisely controlled temperature and pressure regimes, effectively eliminating viral and microbiological loads prior to discharge into the municipal sewer network.

The unit is characterized by enhanced energy efficiency, featuring optimized heat exchange circuits and automated control systems. These design improvements reduce specific energy consumption while maintaining the rigorous decontamination parameters required for high-load, continuous-operation facilities.

A defining feature of this development is its 100% domestic origin. The entire lifecycle—from engineering concepts and calculations to design documentation and control system software—was executed within the Russian Federation. This reliance on homegrown technology ensures technological independence, full compliance with Russian regulatory frameworks, and long-term operational sustainability.

While specific facility details and technical equipment specifications remain confidential, the public attention from federal media underscores the strategic importance and innovative nature of these engineering solutions for the biosafety and national security sectors.

Regulatory Compliance (RF) 

The project and its technical solutions are implemented in accordance with the current sanitary-epidemiological requirements of the Russian Federation, including SanPiN 1.2.3685-21, SanPiN 2.1.3684-21, and SanPiN 3.3686-21. For pharmaceutical and biotechnological facilities, the engineering approach further aligns with the EAEU Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) (EEC Decision No. 77) and Order No. 916 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, ensuring harmony with regional quality standards.
