Heat exchangers

Heat exchangers are industrial devices designed to transfer thermal energy between fluids of different temperatures for heating, cooling, or heat recovery within technological processes. This equipment is essential in the pharmaceutical, chemical, oil and gas, and food industries, as well as in cleanroom environmental control systems. INEX supplies shell-and-tube and plate heat exchangers that strictly comply with the technical requirements of industry standards and regulatory documentation.

Types of Heat Exchangers

The product range includes the primary structural types of industrial heat transfer apparatus:

  • Shell-and-Tube Heat Exchangers: Available in configurations with U-shaped tubes, floating heads, and both horizontal and vertical layouts.

  • Plate Heat Exchangers: Presented in both gasketed (dismountable) and non-dismountable (brazed/welded) designs with various connection types.

  • Specialized Designs: Including "tube-in-tube" exchangers and block-type structures for dedicated industrial purposes.

Design Features and Parameters

Technical implementation of our heat exchange equipment ensures reliable operation across a wide range of operating parameters. Materials of construction include AISI 304 and AISI 316 stainless steels, providing resistance to aggressive media.

  • Thermal Expansion: Designs utilizing U-tubes and floating covers compensate for the thermal expansion of internal elements.

  • Pressure and Temperature: Operating pressure reaches up to 1.6 MPa, with a temperature range from –70 °C to +450 °C, depending on the design.

  • Capacity: The heat exchange surface area varies from 0.4 to 800 m².

  • Efficiency: Thermal efficiency and recovery capabilities are determined by calculated heat flux densities.

The structural design includes lifting devices, slinging eyes, and support elements in full accordance with industrial safety requirements.

Areas of Application

The functional purpose of the heat exchange equipment covers heating and cooling systems for production lines, including sterilization processes and heat energy recovery. The equipment is adapted for handling aggressive, toxic, and explosive media while maintaining industrial safety. Structural solutions ensure application in cleanrooms in accordance with ISO 14644-1, with configurations suitable for installation in GMP and cGMP zones of pharmaceutical manufacturing plants.
