Laminar flow boxes and fume hoods

Catalog of laminar flow boxes and fume hoods

Equipment for ensuring a controlled air environment is the cornerstone of cleanroom operations in the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and medical industries. Local air purification systems create barrier protection between the operator, the product, and the environment through directed airflows and multi-stage filtration.

This class of equipment is utilized in the production of sterile medicinal products, microbiological research, clinical diagnostics, and biotechnological processes. All models provided meet the requirements of GOST R 52539-2006, GOST R ISO 14644-1, SP 1.3.2322-08, and SanPiN 1.2.3685-21.

Purpose and Areas of Application

Protective equipment provides three primary types of barrier protection: protecting personnel from exposure to hazardous substances, protecting the product from contamination, and protecting the external environment from pollution.

In pharmaceutical manufacturing, this equipment is used for aseptic filling, the preparation of injectable solutions, and handling active pharmaceutical substances. In microbiological laboratories, these systems ensure safe work with pathogenic microorganisms and cell cultures.

The benefits of using specialized equipment include minimizing the risk of cross-contamination, compliance with GMP requirements, and ensuring the reproducibility of technological processes. HEPA filtration removes 99.97% of particles 0.3 μm or larger, including bacteria and viruses.

Equipment Types in the Catalog

The range includes the following primary categories:

  • Fume Hoods: Designed to protect personnel when working with chemical reagents and toxic substances by exhausting air away from the user.

  • Class II Type A2 Biological Safety Cabinets: Used for working with medium-to-high risk pathogenic microorganisms, providing protection for the product, the personnel, and the environment.

  • PCR Workstations: Specialized equipment for molecular genetic research, preventing cross-contamination between samples during the amplification process.

  • Product Protection Cabinets (Laminar Flow Hoods): Designed to ensure sterility when working with medicinal products and biological materials.

Additionally, INEX produces horizontal laminar flow units, aseptic chambers, cytotoxic safety cabinets, and UV-disinfected cabinets for specialized modifications.

Technical Features

The design of the equipment is based on the principle of creating a laminar or turbulent airflow with specified speed and direction parameters. Air preparation systems include pre-filtration for coarse particles and final HEPA or ULPA filtration to achieve the required cleanliness class.

The working zones of the equipment provide cleanliness classes ranging from ISO 5 to ISO 7, depending on the intended use. Control systems include:

  • Real-time monitoring of airflow velocity.

  • Filter integrity testing ports.

  • Visual and audible alarms for parameter deviations.

The construction materials include stainless steel and chemically resistant polymers, ensuring the possibility of rigorous disinfection and long-term operation in aggressive environments.
