Filter ventilation modules (FVM)

Fan Filter Units (FFU) are a critical component of cleanroom ventilation systems. They provide a continuous supply of highly purified air through HEPA filters (Classes H10–H14) and create the uniform, unidirectional laminar flow required to maintain ISO Class 6 and higher. INEX FFU solutions are designed for versatility, operating either as standalone units for local clean zones or as part of a centralized ceiling grid system.

Areas of Application

FFUs are used to organize localized clean workspaces and fully equip entire cleanrooms. INEX solutions are widely utilized in:

  • Pharmaceutical & Food Industries: Maintaining aseptic conditions for production.

  • Microelectronics: Protecting sensitive components from particulate contamination.

  • Medicine & Cosmetology: Ensuring sterile environments for procedures and formulation.

  • Space Research: Creating ultra-clean environments for satellite and instrument assembly.

Construction and Key Features

The engineering behind INEX Fan Filter Units focuses on energy efficiency, reliability, and precision control:

  • EC-Fan Technology: The core of the unit utilizes high-efficiency EC (Electronically Commutated) fans, providing high performance with significantly lower power consumption and reduced noise levels compared to traditional motors.

  • Material Flexibility: Housings can be manufactured from galvanized steel with a polymer coating, aluminum, or stainless steel for environments with high corrosion resistance requirements.

  • Multi-Stage Filtration: * Pre-filtration: Class G4 (EU4) filters capture coarse mechanical and aerosol contaminants.

    • Molecular Purification: Optional sorption filters can be installed to remove molecular-level chemical impurities.

    • Final Stage: High-efficiency HEPA/ULPA filters ensure the final air quality.

  • Control and Monitoring: Units can be equipped with differential pressure sensors to monitor filter loading and integrated into a centralized building management system (BMS).

Technical Options

Depending on the specific project requirements, INEX FFUs can be customized with:

  • Integrated air cooling or heating modules.

  • Remote speed control via Modbus or analog signals.

  • "Traffic Light" status indicators for filter replacement alerts.

Validation and Compliance

Reliability and data integrity are guaranteed through strict adherence to international standards:

  • GMP Annex 11: Ensures the reliability of automated systems within the pharmaceutical production chain.

  • GAMP 5 (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice): Systems are developed according to the risk-based automation guidelines established by the ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering).
