Flammable Liquid (FL) Modules
Modules for handling Flammable Liquids (FL) are specialized units designed for the safe storage, dispensing, and transportation of volatile and flammable substances within cleanroom environments. The equipment is engineered in strict accordance with fire safety requirements, GMP, and explosion protection (Ex) regulations, protecting personnel, equipment, and the technological environment from fire or explosion risks.
These modules are utilized in pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and chemical manufacturing where work with aggressive, volatile, or toxic components is required. Modular solutions enable organized, safe storage of flammable liquids, eliminate the possibility of unintended mixing, and minimize the risk of emergency situations.

Design and Technical Features
INEX modules are custom-designed based on specific FL storage requirements, considering the hazard class of the substances, container volumes, and operating conditions. All solutions comply with GOST 12.1.010-76, TR CU 032/2013, and international guidelines for the co-storage of flammable and combustible liquids.
The modules are equipped with:
-
Airtight Housing: Constructed from AISI 304 or AISI 316L stainless steel.
-
Explosion-Proof (Ex) Ventilation: Systems for safe vapor extraction and air exchange.
-
Automatic Temperature Control: Integrated systems to maintain stable thermal regimes.
-
Antistatic Coating: Applied to internal surfaces to prevent spark discharge.
-
Leak and Vapor Detection: High-sensitivity sensors for monitoring gas concentrations.
-
Control Panel: Featuring potential integration into SCADA/MES systems.
-
Fire-Rated Insulation: Thermal barriers and fire protection systems.
The modules can be configured as:
-
Storage Cabinets and Bins: Compact solutions for laboratories and local production areas.
-
Standalone Storage Containers: For warehouse zones and larger workshops.
-
Process Modules: Featuring integrated pumps, piping, and dosing systems.
Internal temperature is regulated via forced cooling or a thermal jacket, ensuring storage parameters remain within the substance's specified technical datasheet limits. In the event of an accident, the system provides emergency venting and blocks access to the evaporation source.
Areas of Application
FL modules are widely used in the following sectors:
-
Pharmaceutical manufacturing (GMP zones, Classes B–D).
-
Biotechnological laboratories.
-
Production lines for sterile and non-sterile preparations.
-
Handling areas for solvents, alcohols, and reagents.
-
Chemical reagent storage facilities.
-
Technological areas with a risk of explosive atmosphere formation.
The equipment functions both as part of a centralized ventilation and automation system and as autonomous units adapted to FL storage regulations according to PUE and SP codes.
Regulatory Compliance
FL modules are designed and manufactured in accordance with:
-
GOST 12.1.010–76 — Occupational safety standards. Explosion safety. General requirements.
-
TR CU 032/2013 — On the safety of equipment operating under excess pressure.
-
PUE (Electrical Installation Regulations) — The primary regulatory document governing the design and installation of electrical equipment in hazardous areas, including FL handling premises.
The structures are adapted for the co-storage of flammable and combustible liquids, ensuring full compliance with the strict storage requirements for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
