Profiles

To ensure the hermetic sealing of all structural joints in cleanrooms, rounding coving profiles are used for both external and internal corners. These components are essential for effective and convenient maintenance, cleaning, and disinfection of clean zones. Rounded framing elements minimize the formation of dead zones where air can stagnate and reduce the occurrence of turbulent flows within the cleanroom environment.

Rounding radii are typically 50 mm or 70 mm, depending on the primary structural dimensions. Cleanroom profile systems can consist of various combinations of framing elements tailored to the specific project requirements, field of application, floor covering type, and the design of the wall partitions.

Manufacturing and Materials

INEX manufactures rounding profiles at its own production facilities using high-quality materials:

  • Aluminum: Lightweight and durable, ideal for pharmaceutical environments.

  • Galvanized Steel: Provides high structural strength and impact resistance.

  • Plastic (PVC/Composite): Flexible solutions for specific chemical resistance needs.

All profiles are finished with a reliable, long-lasting paint coating that allows for rigorous disinfection with specialized agents and resistance to UV irradiation.

Key Features and Assortment

The range offered by INEX includes all types of internal and external rounding profiles, fasteners, and end caps. The profiles are engineered to deliver several critical technical advantages:

  • Hermetic Sealing: Prevents air leakage and the penetration of contaminants between wall, floor, and ceiling joints.

  • Chemical Resistance: Stable performance when exposed to aggressive cleaning solutions.

  • UV Stability: Material properties remain unchanged under constant germicidal ultraviolet exposure.

  • Antistatic Properties: Prevents the accumulation of static charge and dust attraction.

  • Anti-glare Finish: Ensures a comfortable working environment under the high-intensity lighting typical of cleanrooms.

Integration into Cleanroom Systems

The coving system is designed to provide a smooth transition between different surfaces. This "radius" geometry is a mandatory requirement for GMP-compliant facilities as it eliminates 90-degree angles where microbes and particles typically accumulate. Whether integrated with epoxy floors, PVC coverings, or sandwich panels, these profiles ensure that every corner of the cleanroom is accessible for mechanical cleaning.
