Construction of a Prefabricated Modular Building for a Thermal Disinfection and Decontamination Station for Pathogenicity Groups III–IV Effluents

INEX specialists visited the Volgograd Anti-Plague Center of Rospotrebnadzor as part of scheduled service maintenance for the facility's installed technological equipment.

During the visit, a software update was performed on the unit responsible for the disinfection and decontamination of liquid waste. The work was carried out in strict accordance with operational documentation and the specific requirements for the stable and safe operation of engineering systems at anti-plague institutions. Following the maintenance, the equipment's correct functionality and the stability of established operating modes were confirmed.

The unit in operation is a critical component of the engineering infrastructure ensuring the biological safety of the Russian Federation. It is designed for the controlled management of biohazardous effluents. The technical solutions and operating modes of the equipment provide effective decontamination of liquid waste generated during work with Pathogenic Biological Agents (PBA) of Hazard Groups I–II (according to Russian classification), as well as higher groups within established regulations and design parameters.

These measures are aimed at maintaining system reliability, ensuring sanitary-epidemiological safety, and keeping the equipment ready for continued operation under stringent regulatory oversight.

Based on the results of the visit, INEX confirms its readiness to enter into a service maintenance contract for the facility for 2026. This includes ongoing equipment support, software component updates, and the execution of routine maintenance in accordance with established requirements.

Regulatory Compliance (RF) The operation and service maintenance of the decontamination unit are performed in compliance with current regulatory documentation, including:

• SanPiN 3.3686-21: "Sanitary and Epidemiological Requirements for the Prevention of Infectious Diseases" — specifically regarding the operation of anti-plague facilities, biosafety assurance, handling of Hazard Group I–II pathogens, and the disinfection of biohazardous liquid waste.
