15.12.2019

Customer: Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Scientific Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums named after I.I. Mechnikov

INEX Group has officially launched the development of design and estimate documentation for a high-complexity project: the Laboratory of DNA-containing Virus Genetics at the Mechnikov Research Institute of Vaccines and Sera. Located in Moscow (1st Dubrovskaya St., 15, Bldg. 1), this facility represents a critical asset for virological research, demanding rigorous engineering standards.

The Biological Safety Module (BSM) Innovation A centerpiece of this project is the Biological Safety Module (BSM), a proprietary "ready-to-install" cleanroom solution engineered by the INEX design department. The BSM is specifically designed to:

  • Accelerate the installation timeline for high-containment zones.

  • Ensure absolute hermetic sealing and atmospheric isolation between research areas.

  • Integrate advanced HEPA filtration and pressure control systems into a unified structural framework.

Design Qualification (DQ) Success The project has reached a major milestone by successfully passing the Design Qualification (DQ) phase. This formal validation provides documented evidence that the engineering solutions proposed by INEX align perfectly with:

  1. User Requirement Specifications (URS): The specific operational needs of the Institute's scientists.

  2. GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) Standards: Ensuring the facility is fit for international-grade laboratory research and safety.

Project Trajectory With the technological solutions now finalized and the DQ stage complete, the project serves as the blueprint for the upcoming capital reconstruction. The implementation of the BSM ensures that the Mechnikov Research Institute will operate at the highest tier of biosafety, capable of handling complex viral genetic research with maximum security.
