Construction of a Prefabricated Modular Building for a Thermal Disinfection and Decontamination Station for Pathogenicity Groups III–IV Effluents

In July 2021, INEX Group commenced a complex series of design and survey works for the Federal State Enterprise "Armavir Biological Factory" in the Krasnodar Region. As one of Russia’s oldest and most vital immunological hubs (est. 1919), the factory is transitioning into a new era of high-tech veterinary and medical manufacturing.

The project was preceded by extensive site missions to synchronize the design boundaries with the factory’s ambitious expansion goals. Our specialists conducted a thorough audit of the Main Production Building (GPK), existing cattle housing, and utility infrastructure to ensure the new designs integrate seamlessly with the facility's autonomous water, steam, and treatment systems.

Key Development Areas: The current design-and-survey phase covers four critical pillars of the factory's modernization:

  • Anaerobic Sterile Production: Engineering specialized environments for the manufacture of anaerobic biological preparations under strict sterile conditions.

  • Lyophilization (Freeze-Drying): Designing a high-capacity unit for the production of lyophilized vaccines, specifically the dry culture "VGNKI" virus vaccine against Aujeszky's disease.

  • Advanced Blood Fractionation (Cattle Facility): Reconstructing the "Volovnya" (cattle unit) to facilitate blood collection from bovine donors and the subsequent fractionation of blood into fibrin, serum, and cellular elements, including the isolation of globulin and albumin fractions.

  • High-Containment Vivarium: Designing a specialized block for Pathogenicity Groups II, III, and IV. This unit will include a dedicated testing zone for the pyrogenicity and toxicity control of finished pharmaceutical products.

Biosafety & Waste Management: A central component of the design is the integration of advanced waste deactivation systems. Given the factory’s isolated location and independent utility loops, the project includes specialized installations for the thermal and chemical neutralization of biological effluents and solid waste, ensuring that all operations comply with federal environmental mandates.
